MIU - Groundskeeper in Fairfield, Iowa at Maharishi International University

• Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, gardens, walkways, parking areas, and other outdoor spaces throughout the MIU campus.

• Remove weeds, brush, volunteer trees, dead vegetation, leaves, branches, and other debris from campus property.

• Operate and maintain grounds equipment, including:

  • Mowers
  • Tractors
  • Trimmers
  • Blowers
  • Chainsaws
  • Snow removal equipment
  • Other tools appropriate to the position
• Assist with snow and ice removal from:

• Sidewalks
• Entrances
• Roadways
• Parking areas
• Other designated areas

• Apply salt, ice melt, sand, or other approved materials as needed to maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle access.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, agriculture, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  
  
• Experience operating lawn and grounds equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and ability to respond to changing priorities and weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet University requirements for operating University vehicles, when required by assigned duties.
