Research Specialist I in Princeton, New Jersey at Princeton University

A full time research specialist position is available in the Falkner Lab at the Princeton University’s Neuroscience Institute Research in the lab focuses on neural circuit dynamics in subcortical circuits during social behavior (see https://www.falknerlab.com/).

The successful candidate will be motivated and hard-working with excellent organizational skills and ability to acquire new skills. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon funding availability and performance.

• Maintain lab space and equipment
• Support mouse colony management (breeding, genotyping, etc.)
• Assist researchers with data collection and analysis
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in Neuroscience or related field.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Outstanding references.
• Experience with mice and running rodent behavior
• Proficient with programming in Python and/or Matlab

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with methods in computational neuroscience.
• 1 year minimum of laboratory experience pre- or post-baccalaureate.
• Experience with animal husbandry (rodents)
