Role Description

Responsible for developing and maintaining new and established commercial channels (direct and indirect), directly developing relationships with large medical centers in the territory and working directly with Samsung’s internal department for territory development. This position will play a vital role in the launch and success of Samsung’s Women’s Health ultrasound product line and will be responsible for acquiring and retaining the best talent for the market. This position requires a minimum of 3-4 days/week of travel.

Key duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and recruit talented commercial team to cover West region’s territories.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet performance objectives and expectations
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively lead quarterly planning sessions that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with West Region
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate account needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel
  • Directly drive revenue in targeted accounts in your territory
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations
  • Monitor competition activity and drive visibility metrics with commercial team
  • Create and implement plan for increasing market share
  • Communicate channel activities and results and provide accurate sales reports, forecasts, and budgeting to Senior Management;
    • Update CRM daily with team
    • Monthly Pipeline Review with Manager
  • Recognize development needs and coach to improve performance; create opportunities and provide support for career advancement; establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to get results from people and exceed expectations
  • Attend and complete all required training and certification exams
  • Become and remain compliant with REPtrax and VendorMate
  • Follow all company policies regarding travel, expenses, meetings, and meals
  • Maintain current, very high level of knowledge for all products

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or other related discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of capital sales management experience; experience with medical equipment preferre
  • You must have a documentable track record in successful selling and the ability identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Ability to direct teams and influence rather than just manage
  • Experience in 3rd party vendor/contractor management
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • Must be highly motivated, possess leadership skills, and have the ability to contribute to the company’s development.
  • Willing to travel internationally and overnight
  • Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record is mandatory and background and drug testing (pre and post employment) is required
  • Must be able to handle more than one project and task in unison
  • Ability to act in an autonomous role with little, if any, management direction
  • Budget, expense, and resource management experience required
  • Customer focused and oriented
  • Very detailed and organized

  • Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies and procedures is highly desirable

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel, overnight, and on weekends
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; background and drug testing (pre‑ and post‑employment) is required

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when travelling
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-15 hours) for multiple days
  • Regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
  • Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
