Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Help Desk Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in IT who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting users, and keeping service desk requests organized. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and prioritizing IT service desk tickets, providing first-level technical support, and escalating issues when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, manage, and prioritize incoming IT service desk tickets in the ticketing system.
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, login, and basic network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine technical problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate more complex issues to senior IT team members or external vendors as required.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system.
- Follow up with users to confirm issues have been resolved and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and onboarding support for new employees.
- Help maintain IT equipment inventory and support basic system updates or software installations.
- Diploma, certificate, or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interest in IT support and customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, and common software applications.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with a help desk or ticketing system is an asset.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ are considered an asset.
