Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – PRN & Part-Time

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | St. Marys, OH

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in St. Marys, Ohio. Flexible PRN and Part-Time schedules are available for clinicians who are passionate about helping older adults maximize their independence and quality of life.

In this role, you will provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. You'll work with residents recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, as well as long-term care residents who benefit from ongoing therapeutic support.

What You'll Do
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Guide residents through therapeutic activities designed to improve performance in daily living tasks and functional mobility.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging environment that supports resident goals and independence.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the State of Ohio.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Understanding of skilled nursing and long-term care practices, regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
