Job Description
Primary Purpose of Job
Serves as a frontline ambassador by creating a welcoming environment while promoting the safety and security of ASB teammates and customers. Requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and interpersonal skills to effectively handle various situations and interactions.
Major Job Accountabilities
- Greets and assists customers while ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
- Maintains a friendly, professional demeanor while monitoring area.
- Observes customer and visitor behavior to identify potential safety or security concerns before they escalate.
- Responds to emergencies, incidents, or suspicious activities in a calm, professional manner.
- Makes decisions quickly and decisively to ensure situations are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Investigates and files incident reports.
- Keeps abreast of current and evolving security threats, best practices, new technology and trends, and any laws and regulations that may impact the Bank’s operations.
- May serve as the Bank’s liaison with local law enforcement and other outside parties.
Experience Required
- Security guard experience.
- Police officer experience is a plus.
Required Skills or Training
- Strong situational awareness.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent customer service attributes.
- Deep working knowledge of security principles, emergency preparedness operations, risk management, and fire and life safety systems.
- Must have some knowledge of the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and the Incident Command system (a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of access control systems.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving security-related issues.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills.
- Must be flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft applications.
- Able to work 7 days a week, 24 hours per day based on business need.
Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements
- Must hold a valid US driver’s license.
