Position Summary: The Vice President of Sales and Distribution is responsible for developing and executing the Company’s sales and distribution strategy, achieving revenue and growth targets, and managing day to day sales operations across all markets. This role owns both tactical sales execution and the design, optimization, and performance of the Company’s distribution channels, including agency, broker, and program partnerships. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Agency Relations and works closely with executive leadership while maintaining primary responsibility for field execution, distribution channel performance, and operational alignment.
Note: This is a hybrid position that requires attendance each Monday and Wednesday at our St. Petersburg, FL office. Associates based outside the Tampa Bay region are required to be on site periodically.
Requirements:Typical Essential Duties
- Executes the Company’s sales and distribution strategy to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability targets across all active markets.
- Leads sales initiatives, product launches, market expansion, and the development and oversight of distribution channels.
- Designs, manages, and optimizes the Company’s distribution model, including agency, broker, and program relationships.
- Manages and optimizes the sales pipeline, including submissions, hit ratios, bind ratios, and channel performance metrics.
- Leads day-to-day sales operations, ensuring consistent execution of sales processes, tools, pricing guidance, and underwriting appetite.
- Drives agency and distribution partner engagement, including appointments, segmentation, production planning, scorecards, and corrective actions.
- Evaluates and refines distribution channel strategy, including identifying high-performing partners, exiting underperforming relationships, and expanding into new channels.
- Partners closely with Underwriting to ensure alignment between distribution strategy, risk appetite, pricing, and profitability.
- Coordinates with Operations and IT to support program launches, system changes, and workflow improvements impacting sales and distribution.
- Leads execution of market expansion initiatives, including distribution build-out, partner onboarding, and go-to-market strategy.
- Analyze sales and distribution performance; delivers regular reporting and actionable insights on channel effectiveness and growth opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with Company policies, regulatory requirements, and distribution governance standards.
- Participates in leadership meetings to report on sales performance, distribution health, and growth risks/opportunities.

Requirements and Competencies
- Education/Licensure: Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional Credentials: Any insurance licensure/certification is a plus, but not required.
- Experience: At least ten (10) years of progressive and relevant property & casualty insurance experience with proven experience leading sales and/or distribution channels in a multi-state insurance environment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of the Education and Experience requirements listed above.
Skills and Abilities
- Deep expertise in agency distribution, partner management, and insurance program execution, with a strong understanding of channel economics.
- Ability to align distribution strategy with underwriting and profitability goals and translate it into executable plans.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in channel performance analytics, pipeline management, and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills across field, partner, and executive audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, high accountability, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM/sales reporting tools.
Physical
- Travel required for agency and distribution partner visits, meetings, and conferences.
- Position typically requires reaching, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
