Job Description
- Establish and maintain effective cost reduction and control activities in an independent environment. Responsible for standards program.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Primary work location: Montréal, Québec
Travel requirement: 10% of the time
Tasks & Responsibilities:- Support new product introduction (NPI) from an industrialization perspective.
- Analyze and optimize production workflows, layouts, and resource utilization to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), time studies, and work instructions.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
- Design and implement performance measurement tools and KPIs to monitor process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
- Evaluate automation opportunities and contribute to capital investment planning.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform special assignments on a project basis.
- Technical representation with clients (projects, support, quality, sales) and vendors.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance engineering and quality needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
- A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.

- Spoken languages: French / English Bilingual.
- Written languages: French / English Bilingual
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (new grads with strong internships may be considered).
- Proficiency with process mapping, layout design, and productivity analysis.
- Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in Creo and EPICOR (an asset).
- Experience with Industry 4.0 tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in metal fabrication and high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments.
- Results orientated, goal oriented and able to implement programs and adapt to change.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
- Full Time, permanent position
- Work schedule, 40 hours a week.
