About the role
- CBH of NC is looking for a reliable and qualified LPN's (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for individuals at the Rowan County Detention Center.
What you'll do
- Provide direct patient care to inmates
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Collect vital signs, lab specimens, and patient health data
- Support sick call and assist providers with procedures
- Administer medications and maintain accurate MAR documentation
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes
- Conduct rounds and document patient progress
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain medication security, including narcotics accountability
- Assist with patient transfers and required reporting
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state
- Strong understanding of nursing care principles
- Ability to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional disturbances, or substance dependency
- Proficient in phlebotomy and administering PPD tests
- Per-Diem
