In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex software systems that support critical healthcare and insurance workflows. You will work in a fully remote, collaborative Agile environment where quality is central to delivering impactful technology used in real-world recovery and claims processes. The position blends manual testing expertise with growing opportunities in test automation, offering a chance to strengthen QA maturity across the product suite. You will partner closely with developers, product owners, and analysts to define test coverage and validate requirements from early development through release cycles. A strong focus is placed on defect prevention, continuous improvement, and data-driven validation. This is a hands-on role with meaningful impact on both product quality and end-user outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing while contributing to Agile development cycles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across web-based application suites
- Develop and manage test cases in Azure DevOps based on user stories and acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout their lifecycle with clear reproduction steps and severity classification
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to validate requirements and ensure test coverage
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, demos, and backlog refinement
- Support release validation, including QA and UAT testing during deployment cycles
- Contribute to QA process improvements and expansion of automation coverage where applicable
The ideal candidate brings strong manual testing experience, solid technical understanding, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced Agile environments, particularly within healthcare or insurance domains.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing
- Experience with healthcare claims, medical billing, or insurance systems is preferred
- Strong experience designing and executing manual test cases and managing test cycles
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools
- Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation
- Understanding of API testing concepts (RESTful services)
- Familiarity with web application testing and .NET-based systems is a plus
- Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium or similar is preferred
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
