Finance & Accounting Intern in HOUSTON, Texas at Industrial Service Solutions - PARENT

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern to support the finance and accounting team with reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in accounting or finance who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Support collection of W-9’s for customers/vendors
• Gather and organize EBITDA addback support and related documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking processes.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support audit requests and internal reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and validate financial information.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, formatting, and data organization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Future Full-Time Opportunity: Staff Accountant / Financial Analyst

Upon successful completion of the internship and graduation, candidates may be considered for a full-time opportunity within the finance organization. Depending on performance, interests, and business needs, future opportunities may include roles in accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis. Responsibilities may include supporting month-end close, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to financial and operational analysis initiatives.
