Job Description

Role Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading all sales functions across Quality Bus & Truck Parts (used parts) and Midwest Bus Parts (new parts). This role oversees inside sales, outside sales, and business development to drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability. This position will ensure alignment across all sales channels, establish performance standards, and executes a unified strategy to maximize sales across both organizations.

Core Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and direct the sales department with integrity and confidence. This will require clear and consistent communication with all depts., a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, organization skills, and a willingness to sacrifice for others.
  • Manage and coach all employees under the sales umbrella: Inside, Outside, and Outbound/Development.
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end CRM strategy, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for the sales team through daily/weekly checks and coaching.
  • Oversee and implement processes to optimize sales functions, while delivering the same experience for all customers
  • Develop and execute a unified sales strategy across multiple companies and departments.
  • Set revenue, margin, and growth targets for all sales revenue channels.
  • Identify market opportunities and drive expansion into new accounts and territories.
  • Maintain the annual budget for all departments while seeking to improve and increase profits while striving for the reduction of unnecessary expenses.
  • Ensure alignment between pricing, inventory movement, and sales initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing to fulfill online orders and support e-commerce with accurate product information.

Inside Sales (Inbound & Account Management)

  • Oversee inside sales team responsible for inbound calls, quoting, and order processing.
  • Ensure strong customer service, responsiveness, and follow-up discipline.
  • Drive account growth through upselling and cross-selling of used and new parts.
  • Monitor performance metrics including conversion rates, revenue, and retention.

Business Development (Outbound Sales)

  • Establish and manage outbound calling strategy for new customer acquisition and account reactivation.
  • Set activity standards including call volume, pipeline development, and follow-up.
  • Lead prospecting efforts targeting fleets, repair facilities, dealers, and municipalities.
  • Ensure consistent pipeline growth to support long-term revenue objectives.

Outside Sales (Territory & Key Account Management)

  • Lead outside sales team responsible for territory growth and key account relationships.
  • Support field activity including customer visits, account reviews, and deal development.
  • Focus on expanding high-value accounts and increasing share of wallet.
  • Assist with closing strategic opportunities and maintaining long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales management experience (truck, bus, or parts industry preferred)
  • Proven success managing inside and outside sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and performance tracking.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales channels and team functions.
