Description:

The General Manager of Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading all Supply Chain functions including Purchasing, Production Control, Materials Planning, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Logistics, Customer Service, Supplier Development, and Global Trade Compliance. This position ensures achievement of company objectives related to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, cost reduction, inventory optimization, working capital improvement, and business continuity. Principle Duties/Essential Functions:

Requirements:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) process to balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and financial objectives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, forecasts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive ERP optimization, business process standardization, automation, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Support new product launches, acquisitions, capacity expansion projects, and customer growth opportunities.

Supply Chain Operations

  • Direct all planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics activities to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time customer delivery.
  • Lead sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, contract management, supplier development, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Optimize inventory levels, improve inventory turns, reduce obsolete inventory, and manage working capital performance.
  • Oversee domestic and international transportation, freight management, customs compliance, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support business objectives and customer requirements.

Compliance, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable trade regulations including USMCA, FTZ, CTPAT, customs, and tariff requirements.
  • Lead business continuity planning, supply chain risk assessments, contingency planning, and recovery programs.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve service, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Establish accountability through structured KPI reviews, corrective action systems, and performance management processes.

Leadership & Financial Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain organization focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory investments, freight spend, and working capital objectives.
  • Develop succession plans and talent development strategies to support future organizational growth.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and headquarters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Automotive or Tier-1 manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP implementations, supply chain transformation, and global sourcing.
  • APICS/ASCM certification preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Primarily office environment, with exposure to warehouse or line side working on an as required basis.
  • Must simultaneously deal with multiple high priority projects

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • PPE may be required based on specific projects.

Work Environment/Hours:

  • Primary work area is in an office setting.
  • Must be able to work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekend (as needed).
  • Must be able to deal with a wide variety of people on a personal level.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10%
