Job Description

Description:

Rehabilitate Old Pinnacles Trailhead Parking Area Shuttle Stop (check Specifications doc for more scope details):

This project will improve the parking area that provides access to the Old Pinnacles and Bench trails. The project includes rehabilitating the parking area surface by upgrading gravel to asphalt, in addition to the turnaround loop of paved Chalone Road. Work includes removal of the deteriorated chip seal, gravel, and paved surfaces, regrading and improving drainage, new paving and restriping of parking, road, and fog lines. Striping would provide two accessible parking spaces. In addition, this project includes design for the Old Pinnacles Shuttle Stop to meet current accessibility standards. It will include a new vault comfort station, paved gathering space and paved walkways, a water bottle filling station, shade structure, picnic facilities, informational kiosk, and signage. A water line would be extended approximately 1,000 feet from the nearby East Water System. Protection of the sensitive natural resources at the interior of the project site is an important component to the success of the project.

Period of Performance:

The project is located at Pinnacles National Park (PINN) in Paicines, California.
