Job Description
Join our team as a Mix & Blend Operator and play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet company specifications and food safety standards. In this position, you will operate mixing systems, prepare product batches, verify ingredients, and support efficient plant operations while contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With:- Operate Mix Systems 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as EMS systems.
- Mix quality products according to established specifications and procedures.
- Verify ingredient weights, lot numbers, and manufacturers before production.
- Accurately record production information on batch sheets and check off ingredients as they are used.
- Adjust batches as needed to achieve proper pH, fat content, solids, and other quality requirements.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Assist with weighing ingredients for upcoming production schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the mix room and work areas.
- Unload oil, sugar, and corn syrup deliveries and collect samples for Quality Control testing.
- Follow all plant safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies.
- Support weekend and overtime production schedules as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to follow written instructions and learn job duties through on-the-job training.
- Six months to one year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of weights, measurements, and ingredient handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Work closely with fellow production and processing employees to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in team activities and support cross-functional cooperation.
- Assist in solving minor operational issues and contribute to daily production success.
- Perform work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and equipment operation.
- Capable of lifting approximately 70-100 pounds.
- Ability to work in conditions with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing elements.
- Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
