Who We Want:

The Part-Time IT and Facilities Intern will support the IT and Facilities departments with hands-on technical, organizational, and documentation-related tasks. This role is intended for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable assisting with a variety of workplace improvement projects under supervision.

The intern will help support facility organization, basic IT equipment handling, cable management, infrastructure support, documentation, and general project execution. This position is ideal for someone interested in gaining practical experience in IT, facilities maintenance, regulated environments, and cross-functional business operations.

What You’ll Work On:

• Assist with basic IT and Facilities support tasks under the direction of the Facilities and IT Manager

• Help organize equipment, supplies, tools, cables, and work areas to improve accessibility and efficiency

• Support basic cable management, labeling, routing, and cleanup activities

• Assist with low-voltage infrastructure preparation, including basic network cabling support under supervision

• Help with computer equipment lifecycle tasks such as organizing, inventorying, preparing, wiping, and decommissioning older equipment.

• Assist with workspace setup, cleanup, and reconfiguration for business needs

• Support deployment of small facility or IT devices, sensors, accessories, and related equipment

• Help gather, organize, and maintain documentation for IT, Facilities, Quality, or validation-related projects

• Assist with basic validation support activities, including documentation organization, test evidence collection, and execution support as assigned

• Follow company safety practices, cleanroom/CER expectations, and applicable procedures

• Communicate progress, issues, and needed materials clearly and promptly

• Maintain confidentiality when handling company equipment, documents, or systems.

What You Bring:

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computers, hardware, cables, and common office technology

• Comfortable using hand tools and performing light hands-on tasks

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow written instructions

• Good organizational skills and ability to keep work areas clean and orderly

• Ability to label, track, and document work accurately

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently after receiving direction

• Comfortable asking questions when instructions are unclear

• Able to lift, move, organize, and stage light-to-moderate equipment or supplies as needed

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, or similar tools

• Professional attitude when working around office, lab, production, and quality areas

Preferred Skills

• Interest in IT and facilities support or operations

• Basic familiarity with network cabling, CAT6, patch panels, cameras, printers, or access points

• Basic understanding of laptop setup, data wiping, hardware inventory, or asset tracking

• Experience with documentation, checklists, or quality records

• Familiarity with regulated environments, GMP, ISO, or validation concepts is helpful but not required

• Ability to read simple instructions, diagrams, layouts, or equipment labels

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach while performing facility or equipment-related tasks

• Ability to work under desks, benches, or around equipment when needed

• Ability to lift and move light-to-moderate items, such as laptops, boxes, cables, sensors, tools, or small equipment

• Ability to work safely in office, lab, warehouse, and production-adjacent areas

Work Schedule

This is a part-time internship position. The schedule may be flexible based on business needs, project priorities, and intern availability.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Facilities and IT Manager and may also coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Receiving, and other departments as needed.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, teachable, and comfortable helping with a mix of IT and Facilities projects. They do not need to be an expert, but they should be reliable, careful, safety-conscious, and willing to learn while supporting practical projects that improve the workplace.

Our compensation ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider the current market rate, and the title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base compensation. The hourly compensation range for this part-time, non-exempt position is between $19.00/hour to $22.00/hour. This is a temporary summer internship position that is up to 24 hours/week.
