RN Nursing Supervisor

Full Time (3:00pm- 11:30pm)

About the Role:

The Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within healthcare facilities across the United States. This position is responsible for coordinating nursing activities, managing team performance, and implementing clinical protocols to meet regulatory standards and organizational goals. The Supervisor RN acts as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. They are instrumental in mentoring and developing nursing personnel, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting continuous professional development. Ultimately, this role ensures that patient care services are delivered efficiently, safely, and compassionately, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced degree.
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership or Management (e.g., Nurse Executive Certification).
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards such as Joint Commission or CMS requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.
  • Conduct training sessions and facilitate professional development opportunities for nursing personnel.
  • Manage resource allocation, including staffing and supplies, to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of qualified nursing staff.
  • Address patient and family concerns promptly and effectively to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to nursing activities and patient care outcomes.
