Vice President, Strategy Execution & Transformation Office

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Strategy Execution & Transformation Office based in United States.

As Vice President, Strategy Execution & Transformation Office, you will translate long-range strategy into a focused and executable portfolio of enterprise priorities.
You will provide senior-level leadership across strategic initiatives, transformation programs, organizational change, and portfolio governance.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you will establish priorities, surface tradeoffs, and drive timely decisions.
You will ensure initiatives are appropriately sequenced, resourced, and aligned with organizational capacity and strategic objectives.
The role combines enterprise-level strategy with hands-on execution, accountability, change adoption, and measurable outcomes.
You will also help evolve strategic communications into an integrated capability supporting transformation and organizational alignment.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity within a complex, fast-moving healthcare environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the Strategy Execution & Transformation Office and serve as the primary point of accountability for the enterprise strategic initiative portfolio.
  • Translate long-range strategic objectives into a focused, prioritized, and executable portfolio of initiatives.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are appropriately mapped, prioritized, tiered, and sequenced against the organization’s long-range plan.
  • Evaluate portfolio capacity, resources, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities to support effective execution.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio governance processes that create clear accountability and enable timely decision-making.
  • Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to maintain alignment around strategic priorities and enterprise objectives.
  • Surface tradeoffs, competing priorities, risks, and resource constraints and facilitate decisions at the appropriate executive level.
  • Exercise leadership over initiative sequencing, resourcing, and portfolio management, resolving competing priorities within the team before escalating broader enterprise decisions.
  • Monitor strategic roadmap commitments and ensure initiatives progress against agreed milestones, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
  • Recommend when initiatives should continue, stop, redirect, or be resequenced as business conditions and priorities evolve.
  • Drive enterprise transformation by helping translate strategic decisions into sustainable organizational change.
  • Partner with initiative sponsors and functional leaders to ensure effective execution, adoption, and sustainment of strategic changes.
  • Monitor progress toward financial, operational, clinical, workforce, and other outcomes targeted by strategic initiatives.
  • Strengthen organizational alignment and understanding of strategic direction and major transformation priorities.
  • As the function evolves, provide leadership for Strategic Communications and integrate communications, change management, and strategy execution into a coordinated leadership model.
  • Build strong relationships and credibility with executive leaders, functional leaders, initiative sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop, and grow a capable, high-performing Strategy Execution & Transformation Office team.
  • Over time, help establish an integrated Strategic Communications capability aligned with enterprise transformation objectives.
  • Continuously improve portfolio management, governance, execution discipline, and organizational change practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Operations, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy execution, enterprise transformation, operations, consulting, program leadership, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and organizational functions.
  • Experience managing multiple significant initiatives or a portfolio of work involving competing priorities, dependencies, resources, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into executable plans, priorities, milestones, resource requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and facilitating discussions involving difficult tradeoffs, competing priorities, and organizational decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and organizational levels, including environments where direct reporting authority is limited.
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Ability to partner effectively with specialized functions including communications, change management, finance, HR, technology, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of organizational change management and the factors required to drive adoption and sustain transformation.
  • Strong enterprise perspective with the ability to connect individual initiatives to broader organizational strategy.
  • Sound judgment and a strong decision orientation, particularly when managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex organizational tradeoffs.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and drive alignment among senior stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic-to-operational thinking and the ability to convert strategy into disciplined execution.
  • Strong influence, alignment, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated change leadership and portfolio management discipline.
  • Strong talent leadership skills, including the ability to develop teams and build organizational capabilities.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required; experience in another complex, multi-site, regulated, or service-based organization may also be relevant.
