We are looking for a Racquets Attendant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. As part of the Racquets team, you will help maintain the courts and racquets facilities, assist with all tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball activities, events, tournaments, clinics and lessons.

Essential functions of a Racquets Attendant include:

  • Maintains a positive work environment through effective communication and creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for all.
  • Ensures daily maintenance of courts and areas adjacent to courts.
  • Blows debris and dust from surface of hard courts.
  • Keeps court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition.
  • Maintains court coolers, ice chest, and tennis shoe cleaners.
  • Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels, and cups.
  • Performs any additional tasks needed to keep tennis courts and surrounding areas in good order.
  • Maintains high standards of safety and cleanliness in all racquet facilities, shop, courts, storage areas.
  • Records court reservations and assist in finding cooperative partners for players.
  • Promotes and sells shop merchandise.
  • Ensures that all members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to all their racquets needs in person and through the shop phone.
  • Assists with preparation and execution of all racquet events.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Successful candidates will have strengths in service orientation, social perception, coordination, and teamwork. Their work styles should include warm and sincere service, willingness to help others, and adaptability.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of racquet sports is required
  • Prior hospitality and service experience is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe to perform essential job functions 
  • Ability to use both arms and hands  
  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments where weather may bring heat, cold, rain, snow etc.
