Position Summary:
The Sr Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategy, development, testing, and deployment of automated and ad hoc email campaigns. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic oversight, including performance analysis, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and cross-functional collaboration, while owning the full email strategy and execution for multiple Company verticals to drive channel performance and revenue growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, QA, schedule, and deploy email campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys, ensuring timely, accurate execution while collaborating with designers and copywriters to deliver high-quality campaign assets.
- Manage email automation workflows and execute A/B testing initiatives to optimize engagement, improve conversion rates, and support revenue goals through continuous campaign performance enhancements.
- Develop creative briefs and channel strategies across multiple product verticals, partnering with leadership to align campaigns with quarterly business objectives while leveraging campaign performance, automation insights, and audience data to drive strategic recommendations.
- Monitor industry trends, benchmarks, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, testing new approaches to audience targeting, segmentation, personalization, and overall channel performance.
- Analyze email KPIs, A/B test results, and automation workflow performance to identify trends, provide actionable insights, monitor for irregularities, and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage audience segmentation, email list integrity, database hygiene, and deliverability to ensure data accuracy, compliance with privacy regulations, and a healthy sender reputation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate email into broader business initiatives.
- Communicate performance findings and strategic recommendations in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to stakeholders across teams.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate (Bachelor's) degree.
- 4+ years of experience working within an email service provider (ESP) (i.e., Braze, Iterable, Customer IO) and demonstrated experience with A/B testing methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a consistent track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify inconsistencies, evaluate performance, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Collaborative and responsive, with a customer- and peer-first approach to communication across all channels.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of goals.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in direct-to-consumer industries.
- Experience in the home improvement/construction field.
Travel Requirements:
- No travel required (stationary work location).
Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:
- Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt).
Physical Requirements:
- Normal office environment.
- Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
