This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Digital Services Technical Lead based in the United States.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on advancing modern software delivery through DevSecOps practices.
You will drive innovation across diverse engineering, cloud, security, automation, database, and application development teams.
The role combines AWS Site Reliability Engineering expertise with strategic consulting, technical solutioning, and operational leadership.
You will help mature CI/CD and progressive delivery practices while improving observability, automation, reliability, and incident response.
The position also plays a key role in technology transformation initiatives involving AI, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions.
Success requires an empowered, highly analytical leader who can move comfortably between deep technical problem-solving and executive-level communication.

- Lead the technical design, development, solutioning, and implementation of new technologies and digital solutions.
- Drive the maturity of software development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and progressive delivery practices across highly visible applications.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across AWS, DevSecOps, security, automation, application development, databases, networking, and cloud operations.
- Collaborate with Software Developers, SREs, Automation Engineers, Test Engineers, Network Engineers, Database Engineers, Cloud Operations teams, Tools Engineers, Application Developers, and Security specialists.
- Lead technology transformation initiatives, particularly those involving artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, emerging digital technologies, and enterprise modernization.
- Use observability, monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools to identify recurring enterprise and cloud platform issues and drive sustainable improvements.
- Own emerging and developing customer issues from identification through resolution, prioritizing work and ensuring appropriate follow-through.
- Lead communications during high-impact and critical incidents, providing clear status updates and ensuring technical actions are assigned, tracked, and completed within defined timelines.
- Facilitate multi-stakeholder technical root-cause analysis sessions and develop roadmaps for corrective and future-state improvements.
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes, strengthen incident response, improve engineering workflows, and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
- Establish and maintain technical engineering standards and create repeatable approaches for connecting data, systems, AI capabilities, digital dashboards, and supporting enterprise tools.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including incident records, root-cause analyses, remediation plans, mitigation procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and develop technical approach responses aligned with strategic roadmaps and technology objectives.
- Participate in Agile sprints to improve business processes, technologies, and operational practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 12+ years of experience building and operating AWS environments, with strong exposure to networking, IT security tools, databases, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Strong hands-on expertise across DevSecOps, security, automation, application development, databases, implementation, integration, and release management.
- Proven experience establishing and maturing application development and CI/CD capabilities toward progressive delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Experience with AWS cloud tools such as CloudWatch and OpenSearch, as well as security technologies such as Aqua and DLP solutions.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications, particularly AWS EKS and Spring Boot-based container services.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, including environment enablement, feature flags, and DORA metrics aggregation.
- Experience using real-time monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Coding proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C, C++, Java, or Ruby.
- Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments and strong knowledge of network administration and management principles.
- Familiarity with remote-access technologies and protocols including SFTP, RDP/Citrix, PCoIP/DCV, AWS WorkSpaces, and AWS Session Manager.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to investigate complex technical issues deeply.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels as a self-directed, empowered high performer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and concisely to technical and executive audiences.
- Strong leadership presence and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to work effectively with customers and teams at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to lead critical incident resolution, manage communications under pressure, and coordinate multiple stakeholders toward timely technical solutions.
- Strong consulting or advisory background with experience driving strategic change and digital adoption across multiple business units.
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification required.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification required.
