We’re Hiring: Maintenance Technician II

Wilder, VT
Salary: $36 to $40 per hour depending on experience
Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt 40 to 45 hours per week, overtime eligible

Advance Transit is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team!

If you have heavy-duty mechanical experience and enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, and keeping vehicles running safely, we want to hear from you.

As a Maintenance Technician II, you’ll help maintain and repair Advance Transit’s fleet of buses and equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, brake repairs, heating and cooling systems, tires and wheels, road calls, and other heavy-duty vehicle repairs.
What we’re looking for:
• Minimum 1 year of heavy-duty mechanical experience
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
• Air brake diagnosis and repair knowledge
• Heavy-duty preventive maintenance experience
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic software
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

A CDL with Passenger Endorsement, DOT Medical Card, VT State Inspection License, Air Brake Certification, and EPA 608/609 certifications are required for the position—but you do not need to have all of them when you're hired. Advance Transit will provide training and support to help you obtain the required credentials.
