Pallet Machine Operator in at Madison County Wood Products, Inc.

Madison County Wood Products, Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Pallet Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating pallet manufacturing equipment, monitoring production, and helping ensure finished pallets meet company quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate pallet manufacturing and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load lumber and pallet components into machinery as required.
• Monitor equipment during operation and make basic adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished pallets for quality and proper construction.
• Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic operator-level maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet production and quality expectations.
• Follow all company safety policies and required PPE procedures.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, machine operator, sawmill, pallet, or industrial experience preferred, but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to regularly lift and move lumber and pallet components.
• Ability to work around machinery, sawdust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard-toe safety footwear.
