Job Description
The Accountant II is a key member of the Finance team responsible for accounting, financial analysis, and compliance activities supporting the Avidex business. This role supports month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.
Working with management, internal stakeholders, and external auditors, the Accountant II helps ensure accurate financial reporting, resolves accounting discrepancies, and identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes.

- Perform monthly close activities, including account analysis and journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and other analyses to validate account accuracy.
- Investigate account activity, variances, aged items, and discrepancies through resolution.
- Prepare financial analysis for management and external auditors.
- Respond to financial inquiries from management and internal stakeholders.
- Provide data and analysis to support internal control assessments and compliance activities.
- Identify and support opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of GAAP and experience with internal controls.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and complex spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- CPA or equivalent certification, or active pursuit of certification, preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
- BlackLine, ERP implementation, payroll, inventory, or accounts receivable accounting experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work additional hours as needed to meet reporting deadlines.
