Job Description

Description:

Help Shape the Future of Trauma-Informed Care

At Women's Lunch Place, Dignity is Everything.

Every day, Women's Lunch Place provides a place of safety, dignity, and hope for women experiencing homelessness, poverty, trauma, and complex life challenges. We're seeking an experienced Clinical Director to help shape the future of our clinical services and strengthen the trauma-informed foundation of our organization.

This is not a traditional clinical position. Rather than maintaining a primary caseload, you'll provide strategic leadership and build systems that support both guests and staff while ensuring compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based care.

If you're energized by mentoring clinicians, strengthening organizations, and creating meaningful systems change, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Provide Clinical Leadership

Lead the integration of trauma-informed, evidence-based practices across all programs while promoting clinical excellence, ethical decision-making, and continuity of care. Serve as a trusted consultant for complex clinical situations, support multidisciplinary collaboration, and help ensure every guest receives thoughtful, coordinated care.

Develop People and Programs

Supervise and mentor clinical leaders, strengthen staff development, and foster a culture of learning, reflection, and accountability. Support the growth of clinical programming, oversee the clinical fellowship program, and help develop the next generation of trauma-informed professionals.

Strengthen Systems

Guide quality improvement efforts by supporting documentation standards, program evaluation, outcome measurement, and implementation of evidence-based models, including Critical Time Intervention (CTI). Ensure clinical services remain responsive to guest needs while supporting operational excellence and future funding opportunities.

Build Partnerships

Serve as the organization's clinical liaison with healthcare providers, academic institutions, consulting professionals, and community partners. Strengthen relationships that expand services, improve continuity of care, and advance Women's Lunch Place's mission.

Contribute to Organizational Leadership

Work collaboratively with senior leadership to shape strategy, support innovation, and ensure clinical perspectives inform organizational decisions. Help create an environment where guests are treated with dignity, staff feel supported, and clinical excellence is woven into every aspect of our work.

Requirements:

We're looking for a leader who combines strong clinical skills with systems thinking, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Independent Massachusetts clinical licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Five or more years of post-graduate clinical experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, housing instability, poverty, or other complex needs
  • At least three years of clinical supervision or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, ethical decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or leading clinical programs
  • Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Experience with nonprofit leadership, budgeting, program evaluation, or grant-funded services
  • Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish

Why Women's Lunch Place?

Your leadership will help shape how trauma-informed care is delivered across an entire organization, strengthening the experience of thousands of women each year while supporting a dedicated team committed to dignity, healing, and hope.

In addition to meaningful work and a collaborative leadership team, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being.

Compensation

Salary: $95,000–$110,000, depending on experience

Position Status

Full Time, 5 days, Monday to Friday schedule, Occasional weeknights/Saturdays as required

Benefits

  • 20 vacation days, 10 sick days, and 10 paid holidays
  • 80% employer-paid health insurance
  • 100% employer-paid dental and vision coverage
  • Employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance
  • Up to 5% employer contribution to a 403(b) retirement plan
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

If you're looking for a role where your clinical expertise can create lasting organizational impact, we encourage you to apply.
