Seasonal Orchestral String Instrument Repair Assistant - Summer/Fall 2026 in Hanover, Pennsylvania at Menchey Music Service

Our repair shop plays a vital role in serving our community, and we want you to be part of our team! If you have experience with string instruments, we'd love to speak with you! Our string instrument repair assistants work over the summer to clean and refurbish returned and new instruments to get ready to rent or sell.

This position is for our Operations Center in Hanover, PA. This is a temporary position and will be located at our Operations Center in Hanover, PA. We are looking for people who can work daytime hours, 3-5 days per week, during the months of August through October.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Thoroughly clean instrument and case.
• Identify any repairs or adjustments that need to be made to the instrument.
• Improve cosmetic appearance of instrument.
• Examine case, repair/replace as necessary.
• Change strings as needed & tune instrument.
• Replace included accessory items in case.
• Restock in warehouse once prep is completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Orchestral string instrument playing experience required.
• On the job training provided.
