About the Role:
DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time AM Breakfast Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality breakfast offerings for our restaurant guests, delivering a memorable dining experience that reflects Hilton hospitality standards.
The majority of service is à la carte breakfast, with occasional buffet service during periods of higher hotel occupancy. The ideal candidate is an early riser who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and works well as part of a team.
This role offers a consistent morning schedule, with shifts beginning as early as 6:00 AM, allowing team members to enjoy afternoons and evenings off.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook, breakfast cook, or in a similar food service role.
- Knowledge of breakfast preparation techniques, including egg cookery, breakfast meats, potatoes, pancakes, and other morning menu items.
- Ability to work early morning shifts beginning as early as 6:00 AM.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a hotel, resort, or full-service restaurant environment.
- Culinary training or food preparation certification.
- ServSafe or Food Handler certification.
- Experience with breakfast buffet preparation and service.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to assist with special events or additional food and beverage operations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast menu items according to standardized recipes and Hilton brand standards.
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned cooking stations before, during, and after service.
- Execute timely and accurate ticket orders during breakfast service.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of breakfast buffets when required by occupancy levels and business demands.
- Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and handled in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and portion control throughout service.
- Communicate effectively with servers, supervisors, and fellow kitchen team members to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist with inventory control, product rotation, and receiving deliveries as needed.
- Support other kitchen functions and duties as assigned
