Job Description
Worldwide Equipment Sales
The Sales Consultant is responsible for generating leads, building customer relationships, and guiding customers through the equipment purchasing process from initial contact to post-sale follow-up. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business needs, providing product knowledge, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while achieving sales objectives.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable, professional, and responsive service.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive follow-up and ongoing communication.
- Identify customer equipment needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Generate and develop leads through customer outreach, networking, referrals, self-marketing, and social media.
- Manage customer appointments, inquiries, quotes, and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales activity records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Prepare and complete all sales documentation and contracts accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop a thorough understanding of available inventory, product specifications, financing options, and industry trends.
- Coordinate with operations, service, transportation, finance, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Assist in maintaining a professional appearance of equipment inventory and sales areas.
- Conduct product demonstrations and inspections as needed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Actively support and promote the company’s mission, vision, and core values in all interactions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing customer needs, market conditions, and business priorities.
- Utilize a process-driven approach to manage sales opportunities and customer interactions effectively.

Reporting StructureReports To: Sales Manager
Ideal Skills & Experience- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Previous sales experience preferred; experience in heavy equipment, truck, machinery, construction, agricultural, or transportation industries is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, appointments, and customer accounts effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other business software applications.
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and stay current on industry trends and inventory offerings.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
