Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Your responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with mental health needs.
- Assess patient mental health status, develop personalized treatment plans, and track progress.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute distress.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, case managers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintainaccuratepatient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record within establishedtimeframesand organizational standards.
- Complywithallmandatory reporting laws and organizational protocols related to patient safety, abuse, neglect, and crisis intervention.
- Participate in community outreach and mental health awareness programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Active,unrestrictedFlorida licensure as a Licensed Mental HealthCounselor(LMHC)or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individual and group counseling, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy
- Experience working with a diverse patient populationand providing culturally competent care
- At least 1 year experience in providing mental health counseling
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience in providing mental health counseling in a healthcare or community-based setting
