As we continue expanding across Texas through retail, wholesale, e-commerce, CPG, and new store growth, we're seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to help transform marketing strategy into exceptional execution.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this role serves as the operational hub of the marketing department—coordinating projects, managing marketing systems, supporting product launches, and ensuring initiatives are executed consistently across every channel of the business.

Position Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing initiatives across Merit's cafés, wholesale business, CPG, e-commerce platform, loyalty program, and new store openings.

This is not a traditional brand management role. Instead, this position focuses on operational excellence—managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, overseeing marketing technology, and ensuring every campaign and product launch is delivered accurately and on schedule.

Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Operations & Project Management
Own the annual marketing calendar and promotional schedule.
Coordinate marketing initiatives from planning through execution.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional communication.
Improve marketing workflows, documentation, and operational processes.
Ensure marketing initiatives are executed accurately and on schedule.
Product Launches & Retail Marketing
Coordinate seasonal beverage launches, menu updates, and promotional campaigns.
Manage implementation of in-store signage, merchandising, packaging, and digital menu content.
Support new café openings and local marketing initiatives.
Coordinate sampling events, promotional materials, and product launch logistics.
Marketing Systems & Digital Platforms

Develop working knowledge of Merit's marketing technology ecosystem, including Shopify, loyalty platforms, online ordering, email and SMS marketing platforms, and website content management.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining promotions and product information
Updating digital content and campaign assets
Supporting customer-facing marketing platforms
Identifying opportunities to improve marketing processes and automation
Agency & Vendor Management
Coordinate work with creative agencies, photographers, printers, and vendors.
Manage project timelines and creative deliverables.
Assist with marketing purchase orders and budget tracking.
Maintain organized marketing assets and project documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the primary marketing liaison with Operations, Retail Leadership, Wholesale, Finance, Technology, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications
Required
3+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
High attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
Comfortable learning new marketing systems and technology platforms.
Preferred
Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
Experience with loyalty, CRM, or customer engagement platforms.
Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, Mailchimp, etc.).
Experience supporting multi-location retail or restaurant brands.
Experience managing agencies or external vendors.
Familiarity with project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, or ClickUp.
