  • Schedule appointments, diagnostic tests, and follow-up visits; verify insurance coverage, referrals, and authorizations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Respond to patient calls and inquiries, collect copays, and assist with billing questions and front desk coverage.
  • Keep clinical spaces clean, organized, and stocked, and follow infection control, safety, and patient privacy requirements.
  • Communicate patient concerns or changes to providers and collaborate with the team to improve care and service.

  • At least two years of experience in a physician’s office or outpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and nephrology-related conditions, including chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, and hypertension.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A compassionate, patient-focused approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 20% of the time, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nephrology, internal medicine, or chronic disease management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, strongly preferred.
