This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Network Automation Engineer based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to help enterprise organizations and managed service providers transform the way they operate complex networks through intelligent automation.
You will work directly with customers to uncover high-value automation opportunities and translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions.
Using network engineering expertise alongside automation capabilities, you will design and implement solutions for troubleshooting, monitoring, incident response, and other critical workflows.
You will also empower customer engineering teams through hands-on training and knowledge transfer, enabling them to continue expanding automation independently.
The position combines technical architecture, network operations, customer engagement, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate with technology partners and leverage industry knowledge to develop reliable automation content and integrations.

- Identify high-impact opportunities to automate network operations by analyzing customer ITSM data, operational processes, and recurring incidents.
- Assess customer network technologies, existing playbooks, design documentation, and operational workflows to determine effective automation strategies.
- Architect and develop automation solutions using capabilities such as Runbooks, Qapps, Dataviews, integrations, and related automation technologies.
- Help customers transform critical network operations processes, including diagnostic troubleshooting, incident management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Work directly with customer engineering teams to understand requirements, design appropriate solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
- Train and mentor customer engineers on network automation practices and platform capabilities so they can independently develop and maintain automation solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of network operations automation across enterprise and managed service provider environments.
- Collaborate with existing technology and vendor partnerships to identify opportunities for integrations and expanded automation capabilities.
- Research publicly available technical knowledge and industry resources to develop useful automation content and address customer-specific challenges.
- Apply strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose complex network and operational issues and develop reliable solutions.
- Support additional technical, customer, and business initiatives as assigned.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, network engineering, network automation, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of common network operations technologies and tools, including network monitoring, incident management, and log analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of network operations and the ability to translate operational requirements into practical automation solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, engineers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and high-quality technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer priorities and technical engagements.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for customer engagements, workshops, and related activities.
- Ability to perform computer-based work involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements and extended periods of sitting.
- Estimated base salary of $130,000–$160,000 USD, plus bonus.
