Position Overview
As an Inside Sales Associate, you will assist our customers as they purchase the materials and tools they need for gases, gas equipment, and welding supplies. From the moment you greet customers until their final sales, you will provide them with the best in customer service and supply expertise.
Essential Functions

- Performs customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments
- Maintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing
- Performs outbound calls to Retail and small customers
- Performs Inside Sales or Counter Sales, serving customers who come into the retail store
- Works closely with and provides support to the Outside Sales team
- Evaluates and recommends appropriate product, equipment, and programs
- Promotes 'add-on' sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories
- Conducts or participates in product demonstrations
- Maintains inventory for the location
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Follows all safety policies and procedures, including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 1+ year(s) of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales preferred
- Welding experience is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in CU/TIMS or another similar customer database
- Excellent customer service and team skills

While performing this job, the employee must stand for long periods, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard reach, stoop, and kneel. This person must be able to lift, carry, or set down 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
Travel
Occasional travel between stores may be needed
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt, and on-site position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, and range from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The compensation range reflects WestAir’s good-faith estimate for the base compensation expected at the time of posting. Compensation offered will be determined by the job-related factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location.
