Position Overview

The Valet / Transportation Supervisor supports the daily operations of the valet and transportation departments by supervising team members, coordinating vehicle and shuttle services, and ensuring safe, efficient, and guest-focused service delivery. This role serves as a key leader on the front line, ensuring service standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures are consistently followed in a full-service hotel environment.

What You'll Do

Valet & Transportation Operations

  • Supervise daily valet parking and transportation operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure timely and efficient vehicle retrieval, parking, and shuttle services.
  • Monitor traffic flow, loading zones, and guest drop-off areas to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Support group arrivals, departures, VIP guests, and special events.

Team Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate valet and transportation attendants.
  • Assign duties, manage break schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor performance and provide real-time feedback to team members.
  • Assist management with performance documentation and corrective actions.

Guest Service & Issue Resolution

  • Ensure a positive first and last impression for all guests.
  • Address guest concerns related to valet or transportation services promptly and professionally.
  • Escalate issues to management as appropriate.
  • Maintain service standards aligned with hotel brand expectations.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies, traffic laws, and valet procedures.
  • Ensure secure handling of vehicle keys and accurate ticketing practices.
  • Report accidents, incidents, damages, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention and Management to mitigate risk.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain logs, reports, and shift documentation.
  • Assist with inventory of keys, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support cash handling, gratuity controls, and reporting as required.
  • Assist with audits and operational reviews.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with Front Office, Bell Services, Security, and Hotel Leadership.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on vehicle or equipment maintenance needs.
  • Relay operational updates and staffing needs to management.
  • Support hotel-wide operational priorities and initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with training new hires and onboarding.
  • Participate in department meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the job.

What You'll Bring

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Previous valet, transportation, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality or high-volume guest service environments preferred.
  • Experience coordinating shuttle or fleet operations preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Licenses or Certificates:

  • Clear driving record and valid Driver's License
