Billing Technician in Madisonville, Tennessee at Chota Community Health Services

Position Summary: Responsible for medical insurance company and patient payment posting, and follow-up of insurance claims and denials.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing medical claims outstanding over 90 days.
• Researching within NextGen for reason claim was not paid.
• Clear credit balances for patient and insurance companies.
• Support Charge Entry Clerk and Electronic Billing, mail, daily deposits, front desk money bags, provider credentialing with insurance companies.
• Post insurance and patient payments.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to cooperate and work well with others.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Complete annual trainings.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with insurance payment posting.
• Experience posting medical claims using ICD 10 codes, CPT codes, and HCPCS codes
