Job Description

Senior Clinical Research Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Clinical Research Associate based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical studies across a range of therapeutic areas while maintaining rigorous quality and compliance standards. You will take ownership of key monitoring activities, from site initiation and routine monitoring through close-out visits. The position combines on-site clinical monitoring with strong collaboration across study teams, support functions, vendors, and research sites. You will play an important role in site communication, data quality, regulatory preparation, and study progress tracking. The environment encourages continuous development and provides exposure to different clinical research programs and therapeutic indications. This is an opportunity for an experienced clinical research professional to deepen their expertise and broaden their experience across Phase II and III studies.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct and document Site Initiation Visits (SIV), Routine Monitoring Visits (RMV), and Close-Out Visits (COV) at clinical research sites.
  • Perform Case Report Form (CRF) review, source document verification, and query resolution to ensure data quality and protocol compliance.
  • Manage ongoing communication with assigned clinical sites and support effective site management throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for in-house support functions and external vendors involved in study activities.
  • Communicate regularly with internal project teams regarding site performance, study progress, and emerging issues.
  • Participate in feasibility activities to assess potential research sites and support study planning.
  • Assist regulatory teams with the preparation of documentation required for study submissions.
  • Prepare for and participate in clinical audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality study execution while ensuring applicable protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed.

Requirements:

  • College or university degree in Life Sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated independent on-site clinical monitoring experience.
  • Experience conducting different types of monitoring visits for Phase II and/or Phase III clinical studies.
  • Oncology clinical research experience is considered an asset.
  • Full professional proficiency in both English and French is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly for on-site monitoring activities.
  • Valid driver's license.
