Folio is recruiting for this position on behalf of one of our affiliated urology practices in Tustin, CA. The selected candidate will be employed by the practice.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our partner practice is seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant to support providers in a busy urology clinic. This is a back-office clinical role focused on patient intake, procedure support, and keeping the provider’s day on schedule.

This is a high-volume practice. Medical Assistants are assigned to one provider each day, with assignments rotating, and typically room approximately 30 patients per day. The right candidate is quick, organized, and comfortable moving from one task to the next without losing accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Room patients, take and record vital signs, and complete intake documentation, including medication lists, in the practice’s EHR (NextGen Office).
• Assist providers with in-office urologic procedures.
• Perform urinalysis testing and document results.
• Perform venipuncture as needed when the in-office phlebotomist is unavailable.
• Provide English/Spanish interpretation for patients during visits.
• Keep the assigned provider’s schedule on track by managing patient flow and anticipating next steps.
• Work collaboratively with providers, front office staff, and fellow Medical Assistants to maintain a smooth, patient-centered clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a back-office Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical setting.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA).
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to interpret for patients in a clinical setting.
• Competency in venipuncture.
• Experience documenting in an electronic health record (EHR).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic while maintaining accuracy and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Urology or other specialty clinic experience.
• Experience with NextGen Office.
• Experience assisting with in-office procedures.

POSITION DETAILS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Location: On-site, Tustin, CA
