POSITION SUMMARY
To perform and assist with the completion of cardiac stress testing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic EKG – may complete within one year.
- CPR/BLS within in 90 days of hire.
Workplace Experience:
Diagnostic Services.
Equipment and Skills Training:
Standard Cardiovascular Stress Testing Equipment; Computerized Order Entry System.
Physical Environment:
Stress Test Lab.
Physical Effort:
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
- Able to stand/walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Able to lift up to 250 lbs. With assistance.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Transport patients.
- Prepares patient physically and psychologically.
- Documents accurately and timely.
- Performs procedures according to Williamson Health, Departmental standards and current guidelines.
- Prepare completed test for interpretation.
- Prepares and maintains treadmill and exam room for procedures.
- Maintains equipment and notifies Unit Director/Maintenance of needed repairs.
- Notifies Unit Director of supply needs.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new personnel.
- Assumes responsibility for information given at staff and committee meetings.
- Handles/ transports medications/ solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family.
