Position Title: Program Lead, Wellness & Technology- Manitoba

Full Time, Permanent

Reports To: Manager, Programs & Operations

I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities

The Lead, Wellness & Technology is responsible for supporting the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of accessibility and technology and wellness initiatives. This position provides operational leadership and subject matter expertise related to accessibility and assistive technology solutions that support client independence, accessibility and community inclusion.

In partnership with internal cross functional teams, community partners, vendors and stakeholders, this position supports outreach initiatives, operational planning, inventory coordination, service delivery consistency and program enhancement activities. The Lead, Wellness & Technology supports the implementation of accessibility technology solutions and operational initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and client needs.

II. Essential Functions

The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter regarding accessibility technology solutions and provide operational guidance supporting program delivery, accessibility outcomes and service consistency.
  • Oversee resolution processes related to accessibility technology and operational service concerns to support effective and consistent program delivery.
  • Champion the delivery and continuous improvement of Mobile Hub and outreach initiatives identifying opportunities to expand impact and accessibility across underserved regions.
  • Coordinate collaboration across programs, rehabilitation services and community partners to support integrated and effective regional service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, community organizations, and service providers to support operational effectiveness, program enhancement and service innovation.
  • Oversee planning, forecasting, and management of product inventory to support outreach initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate regional operational activities related to accessibility technology and wellness initiatives to support alignment with organizational priorities and service objectives.
  • Monitor operational trends, program effectiveness, and regional service needs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and operational enhancement.
  • Support implementation of operational processes, accessibility technology initiatives, and service delivery models across programs.
  • Lead operational initiatives and cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
  • Provide functional leadership and mentorship to colleagues, and volunteers participating in technology and wellness initiatives.
  • Support regional outreach, operational initiatives, and organizational priorities through stakeholder engagement, community partnerships, and promotion of accessibility technology solutions and services.
  • Model organizational values by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and best practices, while contributing to their evolution through feedback and insight.

III. Qualifications

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Proven project management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature when dealing with the needs of persons living with vision loss.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver client-focused initiatives and/or services; excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven time management, coordination, and organizational skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Organizational and planning skills to work to concurrent and/or conflicting deadlines.
  • Results-oriented, strategic, and flexible.
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of different CRMs and applications
  • Knowledge of accessibility and assistive technologies.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem definition, and problem-solving skills.

Experience and Education

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and/or relevant experience and transferrable skills
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience related to accessibility technology, operational coordination, program implementation, or service delivery leadership.
  • Personal and/or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss and associated assistive technologies.
  • Experience in developing service delivery models

Work Environment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Travel required
