This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Engineer based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the quality of modern digital products within a collaborative, innovation-driven environment. You will contribute directly to ensuring reliable, high-performing web and mobile experiences used by global audiences. Working closely with developers, analysts, and product teams, you will help define and uphold strong quality standards across the software delivery lifecycle. The role combines manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on end-to-end quality assurance and continuous improvement. You will be part of agile, cross-functional teams where curiosity, experimentation, and technical growth are actively encouraged. This is a hands-on position where your work will directly influence product stability, user experience, and delivery speed.

Accountabilities:

You will contribute to ensuring high-quality digital releases by designing, executing, and maintaining robust testing strategies across web and mobile applications. You will build and evolve automated test suites, support manual testing efforts, and help strengthen QA best practices within agile delivery teams.

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for web, mobile, API, and end-to-end workflows
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
  • Create and run regression, smoke, functional, and non-functional tests to ensure product stability
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and analysts to identify requirements and define test coverage
  • Develop and execute API and integration tests using tools such as Postman or RestAssured
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines
  • Identify defects, document issues clearly, and ensure timely resolution with development teams
  • Contribute to QA process improvements and promote testing best practices across teams
Requirements:

You bring solid hands-on experience in quality assurance, with a strong balance of manual and automated testing expertise. You are comfortable working in agile environments and have a strong ability to communicate, analyze, and collaborate across technical teams.

  • 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, including manual and automated testing of web or mobile applications
  • Strong experience with test automation using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
  • Experience writing and executing API tests and working with JSON/XML structures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and project management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate requirements into structured test cases
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
  • Nice to have: experience with mocking frameworks, GraphQL, mobile testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack), or academic background in Computer Science or related fields
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range: CAD $69,000 – $86,000 depending on experience and location
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage (health, disability, and life insurance options)
  • Virtual healthcare access and Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • Flexible spending account for wellness, transit, or retirement contributions
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching program
  • Flexible vacation policy and seasonal office closures
  • Monthly technology reimbursement allowance
  • Remote-first work model within Canada
  • Inclusive, diverse, and collaborative work culture focused on learning and growth
