This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems Engineer based in India.
The Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise-grade Citrix environments that enable seamless digital access for large-scale users.
The role involves working on virtualization infrastructure across complex systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Citrix services.
You will be responsible for implementing upgrades, migrations, and improvements in environments supporting thousands of users.
This position requires strong troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to resolve escalated incidents across multiple technologies.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize, automate, and optimize IT processes for better efficiency.
The role also demands proactive monitoring and continuous enhancement of Citrix and cloud-based systems.
Overall, it is a highly technical, impact-driven role in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment.
- Implement, configure, and support enterprise Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), StoreFront, PVS, and MCS.
- Manage installations, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance of Citrix infrastructure in large-scale environments.
- Provide third-level escalation support for complex Citrix incidents and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and performance issues across Citrix, virtualization, and related infrastructure components.
- Work on automation and process optimization initiatives to standardize and improve operational efficiency.
- Support Citrix environments hosted on cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, ensuring stability and scalability.
- Collaborate with IT teams using ITSM tools to manage incidents, changes, and service requests effectively.
- Participate in technical problem-solving activities across multiple systems and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a Citrix Virtualization Engineer or Administrator in enterprise environments with 2000+ users, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Strong hands-on experience with Citrix technologies including CVAD (1912 or later), StoreFront, PVS, MCS, and Citrix Cloud.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow for incident and change management processes.
- Citrix certifications (CCP-V, CCE-V, CCP-N, CCEE) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and root cause analysis skills in complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear business language.
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to work weekend shifts and 12-hour shift schedules as required.
