Job Description

Senior Solutions (Pre-Sales) Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions (Pre-Sales) Architect based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing technical role positioned at the intersection of engineering, product, and sales. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective enterprise and mid-market clients, helping them understand, evaluate, and adopt advanced API and integration platforms. The role blends solution architecture, hands-on engineering, and pre-sales strategy, where you will translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. You will lead demos, design proofs of concept, and guide architectural discussions with senior technical stakeholders including engineers, architects, and CTOs. Operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, you will also play a key role in shaping the pre-sales function itself. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems while directly influencing revenue outcomes and customer success.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the technical pre-sales process by supporting enterprise and mid-market opportunities through demos, solution design, and proof-of-concept development
  • Act as a technical advisor to prospects, translating complex API, integration, and distributed systems concepts into clear business value
  • Design and implement scalable architectures and prototypes using modern backend and cloud-native technologies
  • Partner closely with sales teams to advance deal cycles, handle technical objections, and improve conversion rates
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders to shape solution requirements
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the evaluation and adoption journey
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback, influence roadmap decisions, and improve platform capabilities
  • Develop reusable technical assets such as demo environments, reference architectures, and POC frameworks
  • Support ongoing post-sales success by ensuring technical continuity and alignment with customer implementations
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or similar customer-facing technical roles within B2B SaaS or developer-focused environments
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise deals, ideally involving high-value ($100K+) technical evaluations
  • Strong hands-on software engineering skills with the ability to write code, build prototypes, and debug systems
  • Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and modern backend architectures
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers, microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with backend languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with both engineers and senior business stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving ability, structured thinking, and comfort working in ambiguous or fast-moving environments
  • Experience collaborating closely with sales teams and contributing directly to revenue outcomes
  • Bonus: experience with GraphQL, API composition, or federated architectures
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with total on-target earnings up to $200K
  • Fully remote work within the United States with flexible working arrangements
  • Discretionary paid time off to support work-life balance
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for U.S.-based employees
  • Access to co-working spaces and global team collaboration opportunities
  • Annual team retreats and in-person gatherings
  • High-impact role with ownership in shaping the pre-sales function from the ground up
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge API and distributed systems technologies
  • Strong engineering-driven culture with direct exposure to founders and technical leadership
