Art Director/Creative Director

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Art Director/Creative Director based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative leader who thrives at the intersection of brand strategy, visual storytelling, and business growth. In this role, you will shape and elevate the visual identity of a fast-growing consumer brand across digital, retail, e-commerce, and experiential channels. You’ll lead high-impact creative initiatives, guide a talented design team, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver compelling campaigns that drive engagement and revenue. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on creative execution, offering the chance to influence brand perception at scale. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance creative culture while supporting professional growth and creative excellence.
  • Develop and execute creative strategies for campaigns, product launches, content initiatives, and brand activations across direct-to-consumer, retail, and marketplace channels.
  • Oversee the creation of visual assets for digital platforms, e-commerce experiences, retail merchandising, point-of-sale materials, and in-store displays.
  • Translate complex product and technical information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling brand narratives.
  • Direct photo and video productions, ensuring creative concepts are executed effectively and aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain and evolve brand standards to ensure consistency and quality across all customer-facing communications and experiences.
  • Partner closely with marketing, social media, influencer, and production teams to align creative output with broader organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and production partners to expand creative capabilities and deliver projects efficiently.
Requirements
  • 7–10+ years of experience in art direction, visual design, or creative leadership roles within consumer, wellness, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading creative teams and managing designers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing concept-driven campaigns and successful execution across digital, retail, e-commerce, and physical environments.
  • Proven expertise in retail creative, including merchandising displays, point-of-purchase materials, and shopper-facing experiences.
  • Experience creating high-performing e-commerce and marketplace content, including product visuals and branded digital assets.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of brand development, visual communication, and customer-centric storytelling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
  • Availability to travel periodically for events, productions, and creative shoots.
