This is a senior Workday leadership role focused on transforming and optimizing global core People & Culture processes.
You will lead a team responsible for designing scalable, efficient, and user-centered processes across multiple Workday domains.
The role combines strategic process engineering, product ownership, transformation leadership, and hands-on collaboration with stakeholders.
You will drive major initiatives from requirements definition through deployment and transition into standard service operations.
Data-driven analysis, design thinking, agile practices, and continuous improvement will be central to how you identify and deliver value.
You will work across a global ecosystem of technology, business, and workforce management teams while developing high-performing talent.

- Lead and line-manage the Workday Process Engineering team, ensuring high-quality designs, consistent delivery, and strong outcomes across the group.
- Develop and execute global core process engineering strategies aligned with business priorities, leveraging design thinking, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Lead transformation initiatives across key Workday domains, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Recruitment, Absence, and Time.
- Own major projects and programmes from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment, stabilization, and transition into standard service.
- Act as product owner for strategic process improvements, ensuring solutions remain aligned with user needs, business value, and long-term objectives.
- Analyze operational and business data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Oversee configuration management and maintain the integrity, consistency, and quality of process documentation and systems.
- Establish rigorous testing and quality assurance practices for new and modified processes, ensuring reliable implementation and user adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business functions to understand requirements and translate them into practical, scalable process solutions.
- Lead organizational transformation initiatives and promote a culture of innovation, agility, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Conduct market scanning to identify relevant industry practices, emerging technologies, and opportunities to enhance Workday processes.
- Apply user experience design principles to create intuitive, accessible, and effective employee processes.
- Communicate process changes, expected benefits, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Mentor and develop team members in process engineering, agile methodologies, product ownership, and transformation practices.
- Identify opportunities for process-driven value creation and contribute to broader business development initiatives.
- Participate in the Workforce Management Leadership Team, collaborating with colleagues across the wider Workday platform and integration ecosystem.
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday, with a strong focus on core process engineering and transformation initiatives.
- Broad Workday expertise across multiple domains, including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time, Talent, and Recruitment.
- Experience working in both consulting and corporate environments, with an understanding of different delivery and operating models.
- Significant experience leading enterprise-wide implementations of global systems and business processes.
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering successful outcomes while driving innovation within business-as-usual operations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and demonstrated application of broader agility practices.
- Proven experience in project and programme management, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking and data analysis capabilities, with the ability to turn complex insights into practical strategies and measurable improvements.
- Experience with product ownership, process design, configuration management, testing, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels and disciplines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities, ambiguity, and organizational change.
- Experience developing and implementing transformation strategies and leading organizational change.
- Strong understanding of user experience principles and their application to enterprise processes and digital solutions.
- Experience identifying business development opportunities or creating value through process and technology improvements.
- Demonstrated talent management and coaching capabilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment based in Pune, India.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 10% as required.
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications in technology, business, human resources, or a related discipline are advantageous.
