As a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI platforms, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade systems that integrate AI technologies with advanced data management capabilities. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions while driving technical excellence.

• Lead the full software development lifecycle, including architecture design, API development, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of features.
• Build AI-powered application workflows by integrating agent frameworks, orchestration tools, and interoperability protocols to support scalable enterprise solutions.
• Develop secure and efficient data models, database-driven applications, and systems supporting multi-tenant environments, auditing, and governance requirements.
• Design and deploy applications across multiple cloud environments, ensuring reliability and consistency in both cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Optimize application performance through query optimization, profiling, caching strategies, security best practices, and proactive monitoring.
• Create and maintain REST and/or gRPC APIs used by internal and external consumers.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions while mentoring other engineers.
• Contribute to an async-first engineering culture by documenting decisions, sharing knowledge, and driving solutions independently.

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong backend development skills, practical AI application experience, and a passion for building reliable systems. You should have experience working with complex data environments, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI technologies.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on data-intensive applications, enterprise software, or database-related features.
• Proven experience owning and delivering production-level software features from initial specification through implementation and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python for AI application development and advanced experience with at least one backend language such as Go, Java, or C++.
• Hands-on experience deploying, debugging, and managing services across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience building or integrating AI applications using LLM workflows, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or embedding pipelines.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL optimization, indexing, transactions, schema design, and database performance.
• Experience with application security concepts including authentication, authorization, RBAC, and multi-tenant data isolation.
• Knowledge of observability practices, including structured logging, distributed tracing, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience contributing to open-source projects related to databases, AI applications, or developer tooling.
• Hands-on experience with MCP servers, A2A protocols, or AI agent interoperability solutions.
• Familiarity with agent memory frameworks, graph databases, semantic caching, or advanced AI optimization techniques.
