Job Description

Description:

About Us

We're a self-storage company that believes in hiring capable, no-nonsense people who take pride in their work. We value clear communication, strong customer service, accountability, and people who can solve problems without needing constant hand-holding.

No endless meetings that could've been emails. No micromanaging every tiny detail. Just a team of hardworking people who get things done and support each other when needed.

Even though we have locations across the country, we work together like one highly effective team with a good sense of humor and a strong work ethic. We trust our people to do their jobs professionally, take ownership of their work, and keep our properties in top shape.

About You

Do you take pride in fixing things right the first time? Are you the type who notices a loose latch or a burnt-out light before anyone has to point it out? Can you handle a full day of hands-on work across multiple properties without needing someone standing over your shoulder?

We're looking for a Maintenance Coordinator who can keep our facilities safe, clean, and fully functional- someone who treats every property like it's their own. This role is for multiple locations, all locations are within a 95 mile radius.

If you like staying busy, working with your hands, solving problems on the spot, and being trusted to get the job done right, we'd love to talk.

Requirements:

Facility Upkeep & Repairs

  • Perform daily and weekly walkthroughs to catch damage, wear, safety hazards, or cleanliness issues before they become bigger problems
  • Keep vacant units rent-ready: swept, debris-free, properly lit, and opening/closing smoothly
  • Handle minor repairs on the spot (locks, doors, latches, light fixtures, basic plumbing) instead of letting things sit
  • Maintain curb appeal: parking lots, walkways, and building exteriors free of trash and clutter

Systems & Security Checks

  • Test gates, keypads, and access points regularly to confirm everything's working
  • Inspect fencing and perimeter barriers, reporting damage or gaps right away
  • Follow lock procedures correctly: applying overlocks when instructed, removing them once cleared, and handling lock-cuts safely

Inspections & Documentation

  • Complete SWEEP reports after every walkthrough, with accurate notes and photos
  • Track open maintenance items and follow up until they're resolved
  • Flag recurring issues (leaks, gate failures, etc.) to the District Manager before they turn into bigger headaches

Safety & Coordination

  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE on every job
  • Coordinate with the District Manager on bigger projects, vendor work, and budget priorities
  • Drive between assigned properties as needed, reliable transportation and a valid license required

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

  • Notices problems before they're pointed out
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
  • Handles tools and repairs confidently, without cutting corners
  • Reliable, organized, and shows up ready to work
  • Communicates clearly with the District Manager instead of letting issues pile up

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for checklists, reports, and photo documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling between properties
  • Must be able to pass a background check prior to hire
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
