The Spa at Southall Nail Technician will perform natural nail services performing luxe manicure and pedicure experiences in accordance with standards training provided by Southall. This is a non-exempt, hourly plus commission position on our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
- Analyze member and guest’s nails and tailor nail treatments to the specific needs and requests of members and guests
- Explain nail services and products to members and guests in a knowledgeable, professional and thorough manner
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
- Prepare nail services equipment and supplies daily
- Maintain supply and treatment areas as directed
- Stay current on the latest thinking pertinent to nail services and become well-versed and trained in its application
- Coordinate services and interact effectively with other technicians to facilitate optimum delivery of services and maximum member and guest satisfaction
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
- Ensure a pleasant visit for each member and guest and maintain effective member and guest relations
- Promote and execute effective retail sales
- Be knowledgeable and informed regarding all general spa and club programs and services
- Provide necessary information to compile complete member and guest records
- Perform special projects as required by the Spa Director
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the nail studio as directed
- Provide appropriate and consistent levels of member and guest service and hospitality
- Report for scheduled shifts promptly and ready to work
- Attend and participate in staff meeting as designated by the Spa Director
- Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with the management’s standards
- Submit supply requests to the Spa Director in a timely fashion to ensure proper product availability for members and guests
- Report any problems incurred immediately to the supervisor on duty
- Work diligently to support Southall team philosophy throughout the property
- Comply with all departmental and company policies
- Maintain confidentiality of all Southall proprietary information
- Promote positive member and guest relations for all guests by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service
- Resolve guest complaints in a manner which promotes positive guest relations
- Maintain accurate property information through daily use of email and other forms of communication
- Must be skilled in all aspects of proper nail services and nail care
- Minimum one year experience as a Nail Technician in a high-end salon or spa environment
- Excellent personal appearance, good communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must
- Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focusing on the guest
- High School diploma or the equivalent required
- Have and maintain a current Tennessee Cosmetology/Nail Technician license
