The Role:
Lead Production and Processing through advanced manufacturing systems, quality and maintenance ensuring key accountabilities with the Operational Framework SQCDPE (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Environment) and associated Key Performance Indicators.

- Set objectives with the production team in close collaboration with functional stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the production team promotes Mother Parkers values, and builds on core competencies to achieve superior results
- Support the creation and execution of the strategic and operational plans with the production team and in collaboration with other functions through managing execution, measuring/monitoring results and bringing timely and appropriate course correction.
- Responsible for translating strategic plans into actionable labour management, OPEX, and cost strategies while driving execution in a non – union environment.
- Develop annual departmental plan and goals based on the strategic plan and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly updates.
- Embrace standard work and leverage lean manufacturing principles to drive overall equipment effectiveness and eliminate waste. Define, direct and execute innovative and aggressive cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives related to the manufacturing process
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and general occupational safety standards, quality specifications, local and governmental environmental requirements.
- Ensure a high level of compliance with the internal systems including Safety, Quality and Environment to maintain the required
- Active People developer that recognizes the importance of supporting the Individual Development and Succession/Talent Review processes to develop production capability.
- Lead by example and challenge, inspire the production team to deliver the operational plan.
- Conduct and ensure the timely completion of performance reviews.
- Ensure employees adhere to legal, ethical and operational compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective training and development of the production team.
- Provide coaching, direction and leadership support to employees to achieve employee, company and customer results.
- certifications. With assistance and guidance from EHSS, develop health and safety objectives and assign accordingly.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure that the plant is complying.
- Monitor and sign off all accident investigations.
- Attend Ergonomics and Joint Health and Safety meetings.
- Ensure plant is in GMP & SQF compliance.
- Ensure facility is constantly prepared for regulatory, corporate and customer directed inspections.
- Develop and train Shift Supervisors to increase long-term capability of the plant.
- Establish operational performance and optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
- Collaborate with facility team on production planning and control, materials processing and assembly, maintenance and other production specific activities.
- Communicate shift performances and address issues including but not limited to safety, quality, equipment efficiency, schedule adherence, personnel performance and material usage.
- Evaluate the efficiency of production operations to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and production methods and technologies used.
- Review production and operating reports and resolve manufacturing inefficiencies to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
- Consult with other managers to set production KPI's and schedules as well as proactive and preventative maintenance.
- Preparing production reports and key performance indicators
- Observe, develop and revise operational changes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Recommend operational changes to senior management when necessary to ensure production KPI's are met and safety and quality standards maintained.
What you bring to the role:
- Minimum 5-7 years of operations experience in leadership roles in consumer-packaged goods and/or food manufacturing required.
- Technical knowledge of processing and packaging is an asset.
- Demonstrated track record of building and leading high functioning teams.
- Lean Six-Sigma experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge and experience in all the following areas:

- Knowledge of operating systems CMMS, ERP and MES.
- Sound administrative skills, advanced skill level with current office and applications software packages such as Project, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.

- The hiring range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
