The Senior Platform Engineer will own the design, reliability, scalability, and security of production infrastructure while helping engineering teams improve development velocity. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence platform strategy across the organization.

• Design, build, and automate software development lifecycle processes and infrastructure solutions.
• Own the health, scalability, security, and performance of production systems.
• Lead incident response activities, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to improve system reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to application performance, scalability, infrastructure, and security.
• Define technical direction and contribute to architectural decisions for platform systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on infrastructure best practices, operational excellence, and secure system design.
• Improve internal tooling, processes, and standards to increase engineering productivity.
• Participate in and help evolve on-call processes, incident management, and change management practices.
• Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code projects and reusable cloud infrastructure patterns.
• Support internal development tools, workflows, and production environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with a proven ability to manage production systems at scale. Success in this role requires deep cloud expertise, automation skills, technical leadership, and a commitment to building reliable engineering foundations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role with direct ownership of production systems.
• Strong programming experience in at least one modern language such as Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, or Rust.
• Proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and related services supporting large-scale CI/CD environments.
• Deep experience with Docker and containerization technologies in production.
• Experience participating in and leading on-call rotations and resolving production incidents.
• Experience developing and improving change management and incident response processes.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Ability to design secure, reusable, and scalable infrastructure patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with Rust and its ecosystem is a plus.
• Experience designing CI/CD systems across multiple accounts and regions is preferred.
• Experience with package management strategies and cross-team infrastructure initiatives is a plus.
