Position Title: Admissions Representative

Reports Directly To: Director of Admissions

Location: Remote

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Remote Admissions Representative serves as a trusted resource for prospective students throughout the admissions and enrollment process. This fully remote position is responsible for building relationships with prospective students, providing accurate information regarding academic programs and admission requirements, and guiding applicants from initial inquiry through enrollment using phone, email, text messaging, and virtual meeting technology.

The Admissions Representative proactively manages a recruitment pipeline through consistent daily outbound calling and follow-up while delivering exceptional student experience and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Place up to 100 outbound calls per day to new and existing prospective student inquiries, conduct recruitment interviews, respond promptly and follow consistently throughout the enrollment funnel."

Student Recruitment & Enrollment

  • Achieve monthly recruitment and enrollment targets set by Admissions leadership, including outbound call activity, application submissions, and enrolled students
  • Meet or exceed established daily activity metrics and monthly recruitment and enrollment targets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students throughout the admissions and enrollment process. Guide prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment by providing accurate information regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, enrollment processes, and available student resources.
  • Conduct consultative admissions conversations to understand prospective students' educational goals and determine appropriate program fit.
  • Manage assigned prospective student inquiries and maintain consistent follow-up through phone calls, emails, text messaging, and virtual appointments.
  • Meet or exceed established recruitment and enrollment goals, activity expectations, and performance metrics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive and supportive enrollment experience.
  • Explain University policies, procedures, academic programs, and admissions requirements clearly and accurately.

Recruitment Activities

  • Conduct virtual meetings with prospective students, families, and other stakeholders to discuss academic programs and enrollment opportunities.
  • Participate in virtual recruitment events, information sessions, community outreach activities, and other enrollment initiatives.
  • Build relationships with prospective students, referral partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Admissions leadership to support recruitment campaigns and outreach strategies.
  • Provide feedback regarding recruitment materials, messaging, and prospective student needs.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all prospective student interactions within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Track student engagement, application progress, and enrollment activity according to established procedures.
  • Ensure all admissions activities comply with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance of student information in accordance with FERPA, University policies institutional representations, consumer information requirements, and admissions compliance training.
  • Assist prospective students with completing required admissions documentation and navigating the enrollment process.

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Services, Academic Departments, and other University offices to support student success.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, professional development opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Share best practices and contribute to a positive, student-centered team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in admissions, higher education, recruitment, sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a goal-driven or performance-based environment preferred.
  • Experience communicating with customers, students, or clients through phone, email, text messaging, and virtual platforms.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new technology systems.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fully remote environment while maintaining productivity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Reliable high-speed internet service and a dedicated, professional workspace suitable for confidential student conversations.
  • Ability to work occasional non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, based on recruitment needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous higher education admissions or enrollment management experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume outbound calling, inside sales, or performance-based recruitment environment
  • Experience recruiting students for healthcare, allied health, nursing, or integrated health programs.
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Slate, Salesforce, Campus Nexus, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual customer-facing environment.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional home office environment that supports productivity, confidentiality, and effective communication.

The position requires frequent interaction with prospective students through telephone calls, emails, text messaging, and virtual meetings. Employees must maintain reliable internet access, protect confidential student information, and demonstrate professionalism in all communications.

Standard work hours are 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time and occasional evening hours during peak enrollment periods.

Occasional travel may be required for onboarding, professional development, team meetings, or recruitment activities.

Licenses, Certifications, and Employment Requirements

The successful candidate must:

  • Successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, which may include criminal background screening, employment verification, reference checks, education verification, and other screenings applicable to the position.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies.
  • Maintain reliable technology and access is necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
  • Complete required admissions compliance training and professional development activities.
